Poolside Landscaping

A pool can provide a place to exercise, recreate, or to just cool off on a hot day. But a pool without thought to its surrounding landscape can leave you with nothing but a water-filled hole that’s covered for much of the year.  Pool landscaping can turn a backyard pool into a year-round oasis. 

What better way to spend a day at home than by basking in the sun poolside, maybe listening to a nearby gurgling fountain and catching whiffs of fragrant flowers? And instead of dripping through the house when hunger hits, stroll across the yard to your outdoor kitchen for a cold drink and a burger hot off the grill. When night falls, swim under the glow of strategically placed lighting, then warm off by the fire table. A pool is great but make sure it’s so much more by not neglecting the landscaping.

Oftentimes pool landscaping starts right at the pools edge with a stylish hardscape installation. Next to come to mind is often safety and privacy fencing. Maybe then a poolhouse or cabana with a wet bar? Once this is all put in place, putting the lawn back together after all of that construction might be the final step.
